Thanks to the activists of our affiliated local unions, I am proud to announce the Union Leadership Academy Class participation has increased. We also have a few people ready to receive their certificate of completion of 4 course earning the equivalent of one life skills credit for college. They will receive them at the December 16th NWPA ALF meeting in Franklin. We have had 21 participants in one class, the next class was significantly smaller, but our class on Negotiation Strategies & Tactics if all who are registered attend will have 28.
As a result of the increased participation, we will begin planning the next two rounds of educational classes. One group will deal with computers and the other with ULA topics. We are looking for suggestions of topics. In the computer category the following were suggested: Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint, Publisher, and Social Networking(Twitter, blogging, facebook and etc.).
Please respond back with your suggestions and ideas of which of the classes you would be willing to attend.
